Find answers to common questions about Momentum and how it can accelerate your professional growth
Momentum is an AI-powered business matching and insights platform designed to help professionals connect and grow. It uses intelligent algorithms to match you with relevant people for one-on-one meetings each week and delivers personalized insight cards daily to keep you informed and inspired. In short, Momentum offers a streamlined way to expand your network, gain valuable insights, and build meaningful professional relationships – all with minimal effort on your part. By analyzing your profile, goals, and feedback, Momentum’s AI continuously works in the background to introduce you to the right people and information at the right time.
Getting started with Momentum is quick and easy. To join the platform and set up your profile, follow these steps:
Sign Up: Visit our website (or download the app) and register for an account. You can sign up using your email or a supported social login (like LinkedIn or Google) for convenience.
Verify Your Email: You’ll receive a verification link or code to confirm your account. This helps secure your profile.
Complete Your Profile: Provide information about yourself such as your name, professional title, company, and a short bio. You’ll also be prompted to select your industry, areas of expertise, and professional goals or what you’re looking for (e.g., mentorship, partnerships, new clients, learning opportunities).
Set Preferences: During onboarding, you can indicate your interests and the types of people you’d like to meet. This might include preferred industries, roles, or topics of interest. The more details you give, the better the AI can match you.
Onboard and Connect Calendars: Optionally, you can connect your calendar (Google, Outlook, etc.) to enable seamless scheduling of meetings. You may also be asked a few onboarding questions or to take a quick survey so Momentum’s AI can get to know you.
Once your profile is set up, you’re ready to start receiving weekly match suggestions and daily insight cards. Remember to keep your profile information up to date – a complete profile ensures you get the most relevant matches and content.
To get the most out of Momentum’s matching, it’s important to keep your profile detailed and accurate. Here are some tips for optimizing your profile to improve match quality:
Be Clear About Your Goals: In your profile or settings, state what you aim to achieve on Momentum (e.g., “Looking for a marketing mentor” or “Interested in networking with fintech investors”). The AI will consider your goals when matching you with others.
Highlight Your Interests and Expertise: Make sure you’ve selected all the industries, skills, and topics that are relevant to you. Momentum uses these interest tags to find others with complementary or shared interests.
Write a Strong Bio: Use a few sentences to introduce yourself and what you can offer or what you’re looking for. A clear bio helps potential connections understand the context if they get matched with you.
Keep Your Information Updated: If you change jobs, roles, or industries, or if your networking goals shift, update your profile accordingly. This ensures future matches reflect your current situation.
Provide Feedback: After meetings or on insight cards, give feedback (like rating a meeting or indicating if an insight was useful). This helps the AI learn your preferences over time and refine who it connects you with.
By following these best practices, you signal to Momentum’s AI what “good matches” look like for you, increasing the likelihood of high-quality, relevant introductions each week.
Weekly AI-matched meetings are at the core of Momentum’s networking experience. Here’s how they work:
AI Match Suggestion: Each week, Momentum’s algorithm will identify a professional who aligns with your profile, goals, and preferences. This could be someone in a similar industry to share knowledge, or someone with complementary skills or needs (for example, if you’re a startup founder, you might be matched with an experienced mentor or an investor if that aligns with your goals).
Introduction and Scheduling: Once a match is found, you’ll receive a match card or notification with the person’s profile and why they might be a good connection for you. You can then choose to accept the match and schedule a meeting. Momentum will suggest a meeting time for both parties based on your available calendar slots (if you synced your calendar) or allow you to pick a convenient time through an in-app scheduler.
Meeting Format: Meetings are typically 1:1 conversations, usually around 30 minutes. These meetings can take place virtually by default (via a video call link provided by Momentum’s scheduling system) so you can connect from anywhere. If both parties prefer and are local to each other, they could arrange to meet in person, but that’s up to you and your match to decide.
Quality Over Quantity: Momentum limits matches to about one per week to ensure each introduction is high-quality and manageable. This gives you time to prepare for and follow up on each meeting without feeling overwhelmed. Each introduction is carefully curated by AI to be meaningful, rather than random encounters.
In summary, every week you’ll meet someone new through Momentum – someone selected specifically to align with your networking objectives. All you need to do is review the introduction, confirm the meeting, and show up; Momentum handles the heavy lifting of finding an ideal person and coordinating the initial logistics.
Personalized Insight Cards are daily bite-sized pieces of content and intelligence tailored to you. Think of them as your daily knowledge and networking feed. Each Insight Card is generated or selected by Momentum’s AI based on your interests, industry, and activity on the platform. They may include:
Industry News & Trends: Updates or articles relevant to the fields and topics you care about, so you stay informed about the latest developments that could impact your business or career.
Professional Tips & Resources: Quick tips, best practices, or recommended resources (like a book, podcast, or tool) that align with your goals. For example, if you indicated interest in leadership, an insight card might share a tip on effective team management.
Event and Opportunity Alerts: Notifications of upcoming events, webinars, or networking opportunities (including those within Momentum) that match your interests. If you’re part of a specific Momentum-powered event (like a Strike conference), you might see cards with updates or guidance for that event.
Connection Suggestions: Occasionally, an insight card might highlight a suggested person to connect with or a success story of other Momentum users, inspiring you on how to make the most of the platform.
These cards appear in your Momentum dashboard (and you can opt to receive daily email summaries as well). Each card is meant to be quick to read and actionable. Over time, as you interact with the cards, they become even more personalized – ensuring that the insights you see are always relevant and valuable to your professional journey.
Momentum’s interface is built around an intuitive card-based design to make navigation and interaction simple. Here’s how to use it:
Viewing Cards: When you log in to Momentum, your home screen will show your most recent Insight Card. You can typically swipe through or click arrows to move between cards (e.g., to see yesterday’s card or the next suggestion). Each card will have a concise piece of information or a prompt on it.
Interacting with Insight Cards: For each Insight Card, you may have options such as “Learn More,” “Save for Later,” or reaction buttons (e.g., thumbs up if you found it useful, or thumbs down if it wasn’t relevant). If the card is an article or resource, clicking it might open a summary or the full content. If it’s a tip or prompt, you can simply acknowledge it or save it. By reacting to cards, you give the AI feedback to refine future content for you.
Match Cards (Meeting Invitations): When you receive your weekly match suggestion, it will appear as a special card – often highlighting the person’s name, photo, title, and why the match was made. On that card, you’ll have actions like “Accept & Schedule Meeting” or “Skip.” If you accept, Momentum will guide you through scheduling (or automatically propose a time). If you need to decline that match, you can choose to skip it; the system will note your preference and you’ll still be eligible for a new match, either immediately or the following week, depending on the circumstance.
Navigation: The card interface also usually includes a menu or tabs for other sections of the platform (such as your profile, messages, or community area). However, the core idea is that the most important updates (new match, new insight) are front and center as cards when you open the app or site, so you don’t miss anything important.
Overall, interacting with Momentum is as simple as reviewing the cards and clicking or swiping to take action on them. The design is mobile-friendly and responsive, ensuring you can easily engage with your matches and insights whether you’re at your desk or on the go.
Momentum is designed to take the hassle out of scheduling your meetings. Here’s how the scheduling process works and how calendar sync is involved:
Automated Scheduling: When you and your weekly match both accept the introduction, Momentum’s scheduling assistant will propose a meeting time. It looks at the availability windows you’ve provided. If you’ve connected your calendar, the AI can even check for open slots where both participants are free. The proposed time will be sent to both of you for confirmation.
Calendar Sync: By syncing your Google, Outlook, or Apple calendar with Momentum, any meeting scheduled through the platform can be automatically added to your calendar. During onboarding (or anytime in your account settings), you can securely connect your calendar. This integration means you won’t have to manually create events; once a meeting time is confirmed on Momentum, an invite appears on your calendar with all the details. Similarly, if you update or cancel the meeting on Momentum, it will update on your calendar as well.
Manual Scheduling Options: If the suggested time doesn’t work, you and your match can negotiate a different time. Momentum provides a scheduling interface where you can propose alternate times or dates. The platform may allow in-app chat or messages with your match specifically for coordination (or it will send emails back and forth with proposed times until both confirm).
Meeting Details: Once scheduled, you’ll both receive a calendar invitation (via email and in-app notification) that includes the meeting date/time and a link to join (for virtual meetings). Momentum typically uses integrated video conferencing – for example, the invite might include a Zoom, Google Meet, or built-in Momentum video link. If it’s an in-person meeting, you can update the invite with a location.
Reminders: The platform will send you reminders as the meeting time approaches (for example, a 1-day reminder and a 1-hour reminder), so you don’t forget. These can come as notifications or emails depending on your settings.
Syncing your calendar ensures that your availability is up-to-date and that you never double-book or miss a Momentum meeting. We highly recommend connecting at least one calendar during setup. You remain in full control of your schedule – Momentum’s scheduling is there to simplify the process, not override your preferences.
We understand that sometimes schedules change or a suggested match may not fit your needs at that moment. Momentum offers flexibility in such cases:
Skipping a Match: If you receive a weekly match suggestion and you’re unable to commit to a meeting that week (due to a busy schedule, or perhaps you feel the match isn’t the right fit), you can choose to skip or defer the introduction. Simply select the “Skip” or “Decline” option on the match card. There’s no penalty for skipping – the platform will either provide you with an alternate match (if available) or try again with a new match in the following week. Skipping helps inform the AI as well; you can usually provide a brief reason (e.g., “Too busy this week” or “Not a relevant connection”) which helps Momentum improve future suggestions.
Rescheduling a Confirmed Meeting: If you’ve already scheduled a meeting but something comes up, you can reschedule it. In the Momentum interface or via the calendar invite, choose the option to reschedule. Momentum will prompt both parties to provide new availability or will automatically propose a new time based on your calendars. Both you and your match will need to agree on the new time, and then the calendar invite will update.
Pausing Matches: If you know you’ll be unavailable for an extended period (vacation, leave, etc.), you can usually adjust your availability in your profile settings. Momentum allows you to mark yourself as “unavailable” or pause new matches for a set time. During that pause, the AI will not assign you a new meeting until you’re ready again. You’ll still have access to the Insight Cards and other features while paused.
Communication: It’s courteous to let your match know if you have to reschedule. The platform’s built-in messaging or the reschedule feature will typically notify them, but you can also send a message apologizing and suggesting alternative times. Most professionals understand that conflicts arise.
Our goal is to ensure that meetings happen at a time that works for both people and that every connection is valuable. Momentum’s flexibility in skipping or rescheduling is there to help you manage your time effectively. Don’t hesitate to use these features – the platform will continue matching you afterwards, and you won’t miss out on future opportunities.
Momentum offers a free basic plan for all users, with the option to upgrade to a premium plan for additional benefits. Here’s a breakdown of what’s included:
Free Plan: The free version of Momentum includes the core features needed to start networking. You will receive one AI-matched meeting per week, have access to your daily personalized Insight Cards, and can join any open community events or basic features on the platform. The free plan is designed to provide value right away, so you can use Momentum without any payment and still make meaningful connections.
Premium Plan: The premium (paid) plan unlocks enhanced features for power users or those who want to accelerate their networking. Premium typically includes everything in the free plan plus extras such as:
Additional Matches or Priority Matching: Premium members might get more than one match per week or get matched first when new high-potential members join.
Advanced Filters and Preferences: You may have more control over specifying the types of people you want to meet (e.g., by location, specific industries, experience level) and Momentum will prioritize those criteria.
Expanded Insight Cards: Access to premium-only insights or a greater number of daily cards, such as in-depth industry reports or exclusive content curated for members.
Event Privileges: Priority access or special features for Momentum-partnered events (for instance, being highlighted as a premium member to other attendees or getting additional event match recommendations).
Support and Training: Premium users often receive priority customer support and might get access to networking coaching, webinars, or resources to help you leverage the platform effectively.
Integrations: Some advanced integrations (like syncing with multiple calendars or CRM tools) could be part of premium offerings if relevant.
Pricing: Momentum’s free plan is $0. The premium plan is typically offered as a monthly or annual subscription (for example, a monthly fee with a discount if paid annually). Exact pricing and features can be found on our Pricing page. We strive to keep the premium cost reasonable and aligned with the value it provides. Our goal is to support a broad community with the free tier while offering a way for serious networkers or organizations to get even more out of Momentum via premium.
Managing your Momentum subscription is straightforward and transparent. Here’s how you can change your plan or cancel if needed:
Upgrading to Premium: If you’re on the free plan and decide to upgrade, you can do so at any time. Simply navigate to your Account Settings (look for a “Upgrade” or “Subscription” section). There, you’ll see the option to choose a premium plan. Select the plan (monthly or annual), enter your payment details, and confirm. Your premium benefits will activate immediately after purchase, and you’ll be billed according to the plan’s pricing terms.
Downgrading to Free: If you’re a premium member and wish to return to the free plan, you can downgrade at the end of your current billing cycle. In the subscription settings, choose the option to cancel your premium subscription. You will continue to have premium access until the paid period ends, after which your account will revert to the free plan automatically (so you won’t lose access mid-cycle).
Cancellation: To cancel a paid subscription, use the same process as downgrading. Confirm the cancellation and no further charges will be made. You’ll receive an email confirmation of the cancellation for your records. There are no lock-in contracts – Momentum is typically a pay-as-you-go service, so you can cancel anytime and won’t be charged beyond the current period.
Refunds: Momentum’s policy on refunds can be found in the terms of service. Generally, we do not offer partial refunds for unused time (since you keep benefits until the end of the term), but if there was an error in billing or a special circumstance, you can contact our support team to request a review.
Switching Plans: If Momentum offers multiple premium tiers (for example, individual premium vs. a team or enterprise plan), you can switch between them in the same settings area. The system will pro-rate charges if applicable or adjust the next billing date accordingly.
Rest assured, upgrading or cancelling is user-friendly – you are in full control of your membership. We also value feedback: if you choose to downgrade or cancel, we may ask (optionally) for your reasons so we can improve the platform. And remember, even on the free tier, you can continue benefiting from Momentum’s core features.
Momentum is built to serve a variety of users in the professional networking ecosystem. We often use the term “stakeholders” to refer to the different types of users and their roles on the platform. Here are the primary roles and what they mean:
Individual Members: These are the most common users – professionals who join Momentum to expand their network and gain insights. As a member, you create a profile, get weekly matches, and receive insight cards. You might be an entrepreneur, a freelancer, a manager, or any professional seeking growth and connections. All members have similar capabilities in terms of using the platform’s core features.
Event Participants: If you’re using Momentum as part of a specific event or conference (for example, a “Strike” event partnership), you might be labeled as an event participant. In practice, this role is similar to a regular member, but you may gain access to event-specific networking features. For instance, you could be matched with other attendees during the event or receive insight cards related to event content.
Community Managers / Organizers: These users facilitate group usage of Momentum within a company, community, or event. For example, a company HR or innovation manager might introduce Momentum to their employees to foster internal networking, or an event organizer might use Momentum to help attendees connect. Community managers often have administrative privileges, such as inviting new members, creating special interest groups or events within Momentum, and possibly moderating any community discussion features. They can see engagement statistics and help ensure their group of users is getting value from the platform.
Mentors and Mentees (if applicable): In some contexts, Momentum can be used for mentorship programs. A mentor would be a user who has signed up to provide guidance or advice (often more experienced professionals), and a mentee is someone looking to learn. If Momentum supports this, mentors might have a tag on their profile indicating they are open to mentoring, and the AI will match mentees to mentors accordingly. (Note: This is just one example of how roles might function if a mentorship scenario is in play.)
Momentum Support Team (internal role): While not a user-facing role, it’s good to know that there are Momentum administrators and AI trainers behind the scenes ensuring everything runs smoothly. They might occasionally monitor matches for quality or step in to facilitate certain introductions, especially in curated programs. They also ensure community guidelines are followed.
For most users, you’ll simply sign up and use Momentum as a member. Any special roles like event organizer or admin are typically granted in collaboration with our team (for instance, if an organization partners with Momentum). The platform is flexible, allowing these stakeholders to collaborate: members get matched and network, while organizers/administrators can oversee and enhance the experience for their group.
Momentum can be a powerful tool to enhance networking at events, conferences, or special programs. If you’re attending an event that partners with Momentum (such as a Strike event), here’s what to expect:
Event Onboarding: Before the event, you might receive an invitation or a code to join a dedicated space on Momentum for that event. This could be through an email from the event organizers or a link on the event website. Joining this event space may prompt you to answer a few event-specific questions (e.g., “What are you looking for at this event?” or topics of interest at the conference) in addition to your regular Momentum profile.
Matchmaking with Attendees: Momentum will use its AI to match you with other attendees of the same event. These matches could be scheduled as brief meeting slots during the event days. For example, at a conference, you might get matched with someone to have a quick 15-minute coffee chat between sessions. These introductions are tailored to the context of the event – maybe pairing people from similar industries or complementary needs who otherwise might not have met in the crowd.
Event Insight Cards: In the lead-up and during the event, your daily Insight Cards might include content related to the event. This could be updates like “Don’t miss today’s keynote at 10 AM” or “Here are 3 tips to network effectively at Strike.” It could also highlight profiles of keynote speakers or VIP attendees, or post-event summaries afterward. Essentially, Momentum adjusts its content to help you get the most out of the specific event.
Using the Platform On-site: Many events will have a networking lounge or a recommended time slot for Momentum-facilitated meetings. Through the app, you’ll see your event matches and can communicate with them to decide where to meet (or use an integrated video call if the event is virtual/hybrid). Momentum will handle scheduling just like regular matches, and you’ll get notifications/reminders for these event meetups.
Post-Event Connections: After the event, you typically remain connected through Momentum. You can continue the conversation with people you met or even get additional matches with attendees you may have missed during the event. The platform essentially helps turn a short-term event into longer-term networking value by giving you a way to stay in touch.
For example, at a Strike conference, hundreds of professionals might be present. Momentum ensures you don’t leave it to chance to meet the right people: if you join the Strike event in Momentum, you could be matched with, say, a potential investor interested in your sector or a fellow attendee with a challenge you can help with. The result is a more structured and fruitful networking experience. Always check if an event you’re attending has partnered with Momentum, and if so, take advantage by joining that event’s Momentum space. It’s usually free as part of the event, and it can significantly increase the return on your time spent there. (If you are an event organizer interested in using Momentum to boost networking at your event, feel free to contact us – Momentum can be tailored for various event sizes and formats.)
Yes, Momentum offers a referral program to reward our community for spreading the word. We greatly appreciate when you invite friends or colleagues to join, and we’ve made it beneficial for you too. Here’s how the referral program typically works:
Unique Referral Link: In your account dashboard, you’ll find a personal referral link or code. You can share this link with anyone you think would benefit from Momentum – for example, colleagues, LinkedIn connections, or friends from industry events.
Referral Benefits for New Users: When someone signs up using your referral link, they may receive a welcome benefit. This could be something like a free trial of Momentum Premium for a few weeks, or some other bonus (such as immediate access without a waitlist, if we have one, or an exclusive Insight Card pack for new users). This gives your referees a head-start on the platform.
Referral Rewards for You: As the referrer, you also get rewarded. Common rewards include free premium access for a certain duration, or credits/points that can be used in the platform. For instance, for each person you refer who becomes an active user, you might earn a month of premium features at no cost. If we use a points system, those points could potentially be exchanged for perks like additional matches or Momentum swag – details will be provided in the referral section of the app.
Referral Dashboard: Momentum provides a way for you to track your referrals. You can see how many people clicked your link, how many joined, and what rewards you’ve earned. This transparency lets you know the impact you’re having and ensures you receive the proper credit.
Community Growth: By referring others, you’re also contributing to the overall community. A larger, diverse user base means better matches and more insights for everyone. We often highlight top referrers or have occasional referral contests as a fun way to thank those who are actively helping grow the network.
To get started, go to the referral section in Momentum and share your link via email or social media. There’s no strict limit to how many people you can refer. Just remember that the best referrals are folks who will truly benefit from meaningful networking – in turn, they’ll thank you for introducing them to Momentum!
Absolutely. While one-on-one matches are a key focus, Momentum also fosters a broader community experience to enrich your networking journey. Here are some community features and group activities you can find on Momentum:
Group Networking Events: Momentum periodically hosts virtual meetups, roundtable discussions, or webinars for members around specific themes. For example, there might be a monthly virtual mixer for entrepreneurs, or an industry-specific roundtable (like “Marketing Professionals Connect”). These events allow you to interact with multiple members at once, share knowledge, and form group discussions. They are often announced via Insight Cards or email invites.
Forums or Discussion Boards: Some versions of Momentum include a community forum or feed where members can post questions, share articles, or start discussions. It’s a space to seek advice or insights from the wider Momentum network, not just your weekly match. For instance, you might ask “Has anyone used XYZ tool?” or share a success story of a great connection you made. Our team and community leaders moderate these spaces to keep them useful and on-topic.
Community Highlights: We love to celebrate our members. You’ll occasionally see content like “Member Spotlights” or success stories in the app or newsletter. This helps you discover what others are doing and might inspire you to reach out.
Mentorship Circles or Peer Groups: In addition to one-on-one, Momentum might facilitate small group mentoring sessions or peer circles. For example, a group of 4-5 people at similar career stages might meet monthly as a mini-community within Momentum to support each other. These are typically organized as special programs you can opt into.
Resource Library: The platform may offer a shared library of articles, templates, or guides contributed by the community or our team. For instance, if a discussion in the community surfaces a great article about remote work, it might be added to a resource section for all to benefit.
Engaging with the Momentum community features is optional but highly encouraged. They are designed to build a sense of belonging and multiply the value you get (after all, networking is not just about individual meetings, but also about being part of a larger professional tribe). Whether you’re asking a question in a forum or joining a virtual group event, you’ll find Momentum’s community to be supportive, knowledgeable, and aligned with the spirit of mutual growth. Keep an eye on your Insight Cards and emails for announcements about upcoming community happenings!
Your privacy and data security are top priorities for Momentum. We understand that trust is essential when you’re sharing personal and professional information. Here’s how we protect your data and ensure your privacy:
Data Encryption: All sensitive data you provide to Momentum (such as personal details, communications, and scheduling information) is encrypted both in transit and at rest. This means that when your data travels between your device and our servers, it’s secured using HTTPS/SSL encryption. Likewise, our databases encrypt your information to prevent unauthorized access.
Privacy by Design: We adhere to strict data protection principles. We collect only the information that is needed to provide and improve our service, and we clearly inform you what we use it for (matching and personalization). We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Any data analysis done by our AI is focused on improving your matches and insights – it’s not used for advertising or other unrelated purposes.
Profile Visibility: By default, your Momentum profile is only visible to others when you are matched with them or when you participate in a community feature. It’s not a public directory. This means random users cannot browse all profiles freely. When you are matched for a meeting, your match will see your profile info (and vice versa) because that’s necessary for a meaningful introduction. In community forums or group events, if you choose to engage, other participants will see your basic profile (name, title, and perhaps a short bio) much like at a professional event.
Control Over Data: You have control over what information appears on your profile and what you share. You can edit or remove personal details at any time. If, for example, you want to keep your company name private, you could omit it from your profile. Additionally, if you participate in an event, you may have the option to hide yourself from the event matchmaking if you prefer not to be contacted by other attendees.
Compliance and Standards: Momentum complies with relevant privacy laws such as GDPR (for our users in Europe) and CCPA (for California residents). This includes honoring rights like data access and deletion requests. Our privacy policy (available on our website) outlines in detail how we handle user data and the rights you have. We also require all users to agree to a code of conduct and privacy terms, ensuring everyone’s respectful handling of any information exchanged through the platform.
Security Measures: Our engineering team implements industry-standard security measures, including firewalls, secure cloud infrastructure, and regular security audits. We also run routine penetration tests and have monitoring in place to detect any suspicious activities. If we ever suspect an issue (like an unauthorized login attempt on your account), we will alert you and take action immediately.
In short, we treat your data with the utmost care. Only you and the people you intentionally connect with (matches or event/community participants) have access to your information as needed. We never post anything to your calendars or contacts without your consent beyond what’s needed for scheduling. If you ever have concerns about privacy or encounter something that doesn’t seem right, please reach out to our support team. We are committed to maintaining a secure and trusted environment for all Momentum users.
Yes, Momentum is designed to be used on both desktop and mobile. We understand that professionals are busy and often on the move, so we’ve made sure you can access your matches and insights anytime, anywhere:
Mobile App: Momentum offers a mobile app for convenience. Currently, we have a native app for iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Android devices. You can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store by searching for “Momentum Networking” (look for our logo). The app provides the full functionality of the platform – you can review your Insight Cards each morning, get match notifications, chat with your upcoming meeting partners, and join video calls, all from your phone.
Mobile Web: If you prefer not to install the app or are using a different device, Momentum’s website is mobile-responsive. This means you can log in through your mobile web browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.) and still have a smooth experience. The card-based interface adapts to smaller screens, allowing you to swipe through cards with a touch and tap buttons easily.
Sync Across Devices: Whether you use the web or the app, your account stays in sync. If you schedule a meeting on your laptop, you’ll see it on your phone app too. If you read an Insight Card on your phone during your commute, it will be marked as read when you later check on desktop. This seamless experience ensures you don’t miss anything if you switch devices.
Notifications: The mobile app can send push notifications to alert you of important updates – for example, when you get a new match suggestion, when your meeting is about to start, or when someone messages you. You can control these notification settings in the app to suit your preferences. If you’re using just the mobile web, you’ll still get email notifications for critical things by default (which you can also customize).
Lightweight and Secure: The app is optimized to be fast and not heavy on data usage. We also distribute updates regularly to introduce new features and improvements. Rest assured, using the app is secure; it follows the same rigorous security standards as our website.
In summary, Momentum is at your fingertips. Whether you’re at your desk or on your phone, you can stay engaged with your network and never miss an opportunity to connect. If you have any issues finding or using the mobile app, our support team can assist you.
Definitely. Momentum’s AI is designed to learn and get smarter the more you use the platform. We believe in continuous improvement, so your experience should become even more personalized and accurate as time goes on. Here’s how the AI adapts and improves:
Feedback Loops: After each AI-matched meeting, Momentum might ask you for brief feedback on how the meeting went. This could be a quick rating or a short survey (for example, “Was this match valuable to you?” or “Would you meet this person again?”). Similarly, for Insight Cards, you might indicate which ones you found useful or not. All these feedback signals are fed back into our matching algorithm and content recommender. Over time, the system learns your preferences – for instance, if you consistently indicate you prefer matches in a certain industry or you ignore insight cards about a particular topic, the AI will adjust to favor more of what resonates with you.
Behavioral Insights: The AI also observes implicit behavior. If, say, you always schedule your meetings in the afternoons, the system might start suggesting afternoon slots by default. If you often click on insight cards about leadership but skip ones about finance, it will lean towards showing more leadership content. These subtle cues help tailor the experience without you needing to explicitly set dozens of preferences.
Profile Updates: Whenever you update your profile or settings, the AI immediately incorporates that information. For example, if you add a new interest or change your goal from “finding a mentor” to “hiring talent,” you might notice the nature of your matches shift in the following weeks to align with the new objective. The system is dynamic and recalibrates the matchmaking criteria with each significant change.
Wider Community Learning: Our AI doesn’t just learn from your interactions, but also from patterns across the community (in an anonymized way). If certain types of connections lead to successful outcomes, the AI will aim to reproduce those patterns where relevant. For example, if we find that entrepreneurs in the healthcare sector benefit from meeting regulatory experts, the AI might pick up on that trend. That said, the platform always personalizes to you, so community trends only influence matches if they make sense for your situation.
Continuous AI Training: Behind the scenes, our data science team periodically updates the algorithms with improved models. We use the aggregate data (never identifying specifics without consent) to train the AI to better understand things like professional backgrounds, interests, and what makes a good match or a high-value insight. As the tech is refined, you might experience even more accurate suggestions. We will roll these improvements out seamlessly – often, you just notice that your matches are very relevant and timely.
The bottom line is, Momentum gets better the more you engage with it. We encourage you to interact with the cards, attend your meetings, and share feedback. This not only helps you individually but also makes the platform smarter for everyone. Our commitment is to an ever-improving service, so your networking experience keeps evolving and adding value as you continue to use Momentum.
By default, Momentum focuses on providing one high-quality match per week, as we’ve found this cadence balances well with most professionals’ schedules and allows you to invest time in each connection. However, we understand that some users may wish to accelerate their networking. Here’s how you can get more out of Momentum if one per week feels limiting:
Premium Tier: As mentioned earlier, our Premium plan may offer additional matches. If you’re a premium subscriber, you could receive two or more matches in certain weeks or have the ability to request an extra introduction. This is a great option for active networkers who have the capacity for multiple meetings. (Details would be outlined in the premium feature description.)
Requesting More Matches: On the platform, there might be an option to indicate you’re open to more connections. For example, a toggle or setting that says “I’m available for extra matches.” If you turn this on, the AI will attempt to find additional suitable matches for you, especially if there are new members or others who also want extra meetings. These bonus matches could be bi-weekly or dependent on availability; they may not happen every week but can increase your overall number of connections over time.
Community Connections: Outside of the formal weekly matches, you can leverage community features to meet more people. Participate in the group events, forums, or discussion threads – often you’ll discover people there and can connect informally. For instance, if someone posts an interesting insight in a forum, you can reach out and schedule a one-on-one chat with them, effectively creating your own “match.” Momentum encourages this kind of proactive networking as well.
Referral Bonus Matches: In some cases, we reward active community members (like those who refer new users or are very engaged) with additional match opportunities. So by being an active user, you might occasionally get an extra introduction as a thank you.
Future Plans: We are continuously evaluating our matching frequency. If there’s significant demand for more frequent matches, we may introduce an option to choose your match frequency (e.g., one or two per week) in the settings. Our priority is to maintain quality, so any increase in frequency will be calibrated carefully by the AI to ensure it doesn’t pair you faster than it can find truly good matches.
If you find yourself wanting more connections, first make sure you’re fully utilizing each meeting (quality conversations often lead to more contacts through referrals or follow-ups). But you can also take the steps above. Feel free to reach out to our support or community team to express interest in more matches – user feedback drives how we expand our features. We aim to support your networking appetite, whether it’s one great meeting a week or several.
Momentum is a global platform. From the start, it has been designed to connect professionals across borders as well as locally. Here’s what to know about our availability and international matching:
Global Availability: You can sign up for Momentum from almost any country. The platform itself is online and not restricted to specific regions. We have users from various parts of the world, which means the network is diverse and not limited to one geography. All you need is an internet connection to use Momentum.
Time Zones and Scheduling: When matching people in different locations, Momentum’s scheduling AI takes time zones into account. If you get matched with someone in another country, the suggested meeting times will consider business hour overlaps or mutually convenient times so neither of you has to meet at an odd hour. (Of course, you can adjust if needed.) The calendar integration also ensures that the time is correctly reflected in each person’s local time zone.
Language: The primary language for the platform and most communications is English (as a common business language). We encourage users to have at least a conversational proficiency in English to maximize the benefit of global matches. That said, you can specify languages on your profile. If you only want matches who speak a certain language or you prefer local-language content in insight cards, the system will try to accommodate that when possible. As our community grows, we may introduce localized versions or language-specific communities based on demand.
Local vs. Remote Matches: If you have a preference for meeting people in your own city or country (perhaps for in-person meetups), you can indicate that in your preferences. Momentum can prioritize local matches for you. Conversely, if you’re open to (or specifically seeking) international connections, you can indicate that as well, or simply leave your location preference open. Many users enjoy international matches to gain global perspectives – for example, a marketer in the US might be matched with a marketer in Asia to exchange insights about different markets.
Regional Events and Communities: Momentum may partner with specific regional events or have country-specific community groups (like a Momentum Europe community, Asia-Pacific networking events, etc.). If such features interest you, keep an eye on announcements or search within the platform for regional groups to join. These can help you connect with professionals in a particular area or market that you’re interested in.
In summary, Momentum transcends geography. Whether you want to connect with someone halfway around the world or just within your locale, the platform supports it. Make sure to set your preferences accordingly, and be mindful of cultural and time differences when networking internationally. Many users find that expanding their network globally through Momentum is one of the most rewarding aspects of the experience.
We’re here to help! Momentum prides itself on being user-friendly, but we know questions or occasional issues can arise. There are several ways to get support or find more information:
Help Center/Knowledge Base: First, check out our online Help Center (accessible through the website or app’s menu, often labeled “Support” or “Help”). We have a collection of articles, guides, and troubleshooting tips that cover most common questions. You might find step-by-step instructions there for things like resetting your password, connecting your calendar, or using specific features.
Contact Support: If you need personalized assistance, you can reach our support team directly. The easiest way is to use the in-app chat support – look for a chat icon or a “Contact Us” button in the app/website. This will connect you with a support representative who can help answer questions or resolve issues. Alternatively, you can send us an email at support@momentum.com (for example). We aim to respond to inquiries quickly, typically within one business day or sooner.
Community Q&A: Our community features (forums or discussion boards) can also be a resource. Fellow Momentum users or community moderators may be able to answer questions about their experience, give you tips, or share how they solved a similar problem. Of course, for account-specific or technical issues, official support is the best route, but for general “how do you guys do X on Momentum?” type questions, the community is very welcoming.
Feedback and Feature Requests: If your question is more of a suggestion or you’re curious about whether a feature exists, you can also use the feedback option in the app. Momentum often has a “Send Feedback” or “Suggest a Feature” link (usually in settings or the help menu). We review this feedback regularly and it often informs our updates. If you’re looking for something that isn’t in the platform yet, let us know – it might be in the works or we can provide a workaround.
Updates: For known issues or announcements, we’ll post updates in the Help Center or send notifications if something important is happening (like scheduled maintenance). Checking those can sometimes answer, “Is it just me or is this feature down?” type questions.
And finally, if you simply have more questions about how to best use Momentum (beyond what’s covered in these FAQs), don’t hesitate to reach out. We can provide one-on-one guidance or point you to resources to ensure you’re getting the most value from the platform. Our goal is your success and satisfaction, so we’re always ready to assist.
While we hate to see you go, you always have the option to delete or deactivate your Momentum account. We believe in giving users control over their data and participation. Here’s how you can do it, and what it entails:
Account Settings: To initiate account deletion or deactivation, go to your Account Settings after logging in. There will typically be an option like “Delete Account” or “Deactivate Account” (sometimes found under a Security or Privacy subsection). This process is self-service, meaning you don’t usually have to email or call — it can be done directly through the platform.
Deactivation vs Deletion: Momentum may offer two options:
Deactivating your account will essentially put your profile on hold. Your profile becomes invisible to others (you won’t be considered for matches and won’t receive insight cards), but your data is retained in case you decide to return. This is useful if you want to take a break without losing your profile information, connections, or settings. You can reactivate simply by logging back in and confirming reactivation.
Deleting your account is permanent. This will remove your profile and personal data from Momentum’s active databases. After a deletion request, we may process it with a short security delay (for example, 7 days) in case it was accidental and to wrap up any pending matches or data obligations. Once completed, your profile, match history, and any stored personal content are erased and can’t be recovered.
Data Handling: When you delete your account, Momentum will remove personal identifiers from your data in accordance with our privacy policy. Some aggregate or anonymized data (like usage statistics without personal info) may be kept for analytical purposes, but nothing that can identify you remains. Any connections you made will no longer see your profile in their contacts. If you exchanged messages or content with others, those might remain with them (similar to how an email you sent someone stays in their inbox), but your name will appear as “Deleted User” or be anonymized.
Confirmation: Upon requesting deletion, you will usually be asked to confirm (since it’s irreversible). After confirming, you should receive an email stating that your deletion request is in process. When it’s finalized, we’ll send a confirmation email. If you don’t receive one, check your spam folder or contact support to ensure the request went through.
Rejoining: If you change your mind later on, you are welcome to rejoin Momentum by creating a new account. It will start fresh, as the old data would have been removed. If you deactivated instead of deleting, simply log back in to reactivate your previous account without losing data.
We aim to make this process straightforward because we respect your right to control your presence on the platform. Of course, if there’s anything we can do to address concerns or improve your experience before you decide to leave, please let us know. Many features and policies in Momentum have been shaped by user feedback, so we’re always open to hearing how we can better serve you.
